“Prepaid customers can now access Saskatchewan’s largest and fastest 4G network,” said Bill Boyd, Minister Responsible for SaskTel. “SaskTel Prepaid 4G customers will enjoy the same wide selection of the latest 4G devices and the same fast download speeds that postpaid customers enjoy.”
“We’re proud to introduce Prepaid service on our 4G network,” said Ron Styles, SaskTel President and CEO. “SaskTel Prepaid service offers flexible voice and data plan options to customers who prefer 4G wireless service without a contract.”
Customers on the 4G network will now have access to the same prepaid voice plans that were previously only available on the CDMA network.
SaskTel is also offering new prepaid voice and data plans and data add-ons for Prepaid customers on the 4G network. The data options are not available on the CDMA network.
Prepaid 4G Service is currently available in Saskatchewan only. SaskTel anticipates that roaming outside Saskatchewan will be available in 2012 once roaming agreements are in place.
SaskTel Prepaid 4G customers in Saskatchewan can place calls and send text messages to anywhere in Canada or the United States. They can also receive calls and text messages within Saskatchewan from any place in Canada or the U.S. Prepaid 4G customers cannot make international calls or send international text messages (from Saskatchewan to locations outside of Canada and the U.S) however they can receive international calls and text messages.
See appendix for Prepaid plan details.
