Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, celebrates the success of its annual Check Point Experience (CPX) 2011 in Asia Pacific. Hosted in Bangkok and Sydney this year from August 31 to September 6, the event focused on Check Point’s vision for 3D Security, a revolutionary concept that combines three critical dimensions – Policies, People and Enforcement – to transform security into a business process.
Over 900 customers, partners, press and analysts across Asia Pacific gathered to hear Check Point executives deliver keynote sessions that address the business challenges with an evolving threat landscape and how 3D Security can be applied in real-world customer environments. Check Point security experts also discussed key industry trends, including the rise of targeted threats such as lessons learned from Wikileaks and Stuxnet, as well as the impact of security in light of emerging technologies, such as Web 2.0, mobile computing and virtualization. In addition, attendees received exclusive access to live demos of Check Point’s cutting-edge security solutions, including the latest software release, R75.20, as well as the 21400 Appliance and 61000 Security System – two new high-end solutions that raise the bar in data center security.
“I was very impressed by the technical proficiency and the professional assistance that I received from Check Point engineers during Check Point Experience 2011,” expressed Check Point customer, John Jones, senior data network and security engineer at TNT Express International. “The level of product knowledge that Check Point has to offer is second to none.”

We have received an overwhelming response from our business partners about the event look forward to attending next year,” said Matin Kaddour, regional director for COMPUTERLINKS (Aust) Pty Limited.
Major product news at the conference included the introduction of Check Point’s latest software release, R75.20, which features several new capabilities including a new URL Filtering Software Blade that integrates with Application Control for unified enforcement of all web controls; enables businesses to inspect SSL encrypted traffic across all software blades; and features extended Data Loss Prevention capabilities to protect against internal data breaches.
Check Point also introduced two new high-end and data center system offerings, including the 61000 Security System – a new carrier-grade security solution and the industry’s fastest security gateway – and a new data center appliance, Check Point 21400. In addition, the company also introduced SecurityPower™, a new metric for security performance that allows customers to estimate their security needs and compare it to the SecurityPower Units (SPU) rating of each security solution.
“IDC feels that SecurityPower will help Check Point further solidify itself as a thought leader as it helps organizations relate to their products in a realistic manner,” said Poon-Wei Ang, senior market analyst, Enterprise Infrastructure - ICT Security, IDC Asia/Pacific. “This facilitates better planning in terms of enterprise IT security product refresh cycles.”
“Check Point Experience 2011 was definitely a valuable and insightful experience for us,” said Edison Yu, industry manager Asia Pacific – ICT Practice of Frost & Sullivan and a participant of the Check Point Experience 2011 in Bangkok. “Over the past few months, the drive towards the 3D Security vision has gathered pace and we are all keen on anticipating its impact on the security market moving forward.”
