CollabNet®, the leader in Agile development in the Cloud and the founder of open source Subversion, today announced the introduction of CollabNet Subversion Edge 2.1, the latest version of the premier distribution of the world’s most popular SCM software. CollabNet Subversion Edge 2.1 incorporates the soon-to-be-released Apache Subversion® 1.7 code. Its browser-based console for Subversion management now adds functionality for scheduled backups and for simplified (dump / load) repository upgrades and migrations. CollabNet Subversion Edge is expected to be available in late September, at the same time that Subversion 1.7 becomes available.

New in Apache Subversion 1.7
The defining feature of Subversion 1.7 is a major infrastructure upgrade, including a completely redesigned working copy library that delivers enhanced performance, with some users reporting that their most common operations are faster by an order of magnitude. In addition, more than 150 other significant improvements were made to the previous version.
