The Vintage Flying Museum will hold its 21st Annual Big Band Hangar Dance & Silent Auction on October 15, 2011. This event is the major fundraiser for the museum, a non-profit 501 © 3 corporation.
The Alan Glasscock Orchestra will provide the big band sounds with his 16-piece orchestra for a nostalgic evening of fun. This is the original hangar dance in the area and is staged in front of a WW II bomber on display in an authentic WWII B-29 hangar.
“We are saluting 100 years of naval aviation, said Charlyn ‘Chuckie’ Hospers, director of the Vintage Flying Museum,“but everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy a fun evening of dinner and dancing. You can dress in 40’s attire or as your favorite aviator. Period dress is optional, but prizes will be awarded for the best dressed. We really appreciate those who come out for this event, because this is how we fund our programs.”
Dinner will be served from 6:30 pm. until 8:30 pm., with dancing from 8 – midnight. The event is BYOB with soft drinks and snacks available for purchase.
Advance dinner and dance tickets are $45. Dance only tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door. Reserve tables are available with the purchase of ten tickets. Corporate tables are also available. For an additional $55 those attending the can take a nostalgic flight over the city of Ft. Worth in a DC-3. Flights will begin at 5 pm.

The primary mission of the Vintage Flying Museum (vintageflyingmuseum.org), a Texas 501C(3), is to preserve America's flying heritage in word, deed and action.
