LinkShare today announced strong growth and demand for its performance marketing services and technology designed to help online retailers grow sales in Canada. Over the past year, more than 16 new advertisers have joined the LinkShare Canada Network. These retailers include: The Body Shop Canada, Crocs Canada, Sierra Trading Post Canada, Crate & Barrel Canada, and CB2 Canada.
At the same time, first half year-over-year same store sales for the LinkShare Canada Network were up 90 percent or higher across a range of categories including: apparel, audio and video, gifts, and travel and vacations. The number of order active Publishers in the LinkShare Canada Network are up by 28 percent in 2011 year-to-date.
“The LinkShare Canada Network and the ability to reach the Canadian consumer is an important part of our strategy to drive online sales to TigerDirect.ca,” said Gus Brito, affiliate marketing manager at Systemax North America Technology Group. “We are now building long-term, profitable partnerships with great publishers that really understand the Canadian market.”
LinkShare’s expertise in creating profitable performance marketing partnerships will be on display again at its fifth annual Canada networking event. LinkShare Symposium Canada will take place October 4, 2011 at the Park Hyatt in Toronto.
The annual event is an opportunity for advertisers and publishers to meet face-to-face as they make final preparations for Q4, which is traditionally the busiest time of year for many online retailers. Attendees will learn about performance marketing best practices, discuss the latest industry trends, and learn about the newest technology features from LinkShare designed to accelerate productivity and sales.
“The LinkShare Canada Network is an important part of our strategy to grow globally,” said Yaz Iida, CEO and president of LinkShare. “The increase in the number of advertisers and publishers joining the LinkShare Canada Network as well as strong year-over-year growth in same store sales demonstrates that we are aligned with the needs of our partners as they strive to grow sales in Canada.”
As the longest running performance marketing network, 2011 marks LinkShare’s 15th anniversary. The company is unique in its global capabilities with performance marketing networks reaching consumers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Japan.
