The North Carolina Junior Golf Foundation will host the 2011 University of North Carolina Junior Golf Championships at the AE Finley Golf Course at UNC Chapel Hill. The event is presented by Chase Duncan Golf. The UNC Finley golf Course is home to the NCAA Division I men's and women's golf teams. The golf course is among the top rated college campus courses in the world. It was redesigned by Tom Fazio in 1999 and now hosts an annual intercollegiate tournament. The UNC Tarheel Golf Team has produced PGA Tour favorites such as Davis Love III.

The UNC Tarheel Junior is open to all junior golfers that have not yet turned 19 or started college. Playing divisions are available for HS Boys, Middle School Boys and Girls. Entry fees for this 36 hole nationally ranked junior golf are the lowest of any tour in the region at $115. Entry fees are set to cover course fees and direct tournament expenses. As a volunteer organization there are no paid employees or consultants so players can experience high quality competition at top golf courses for a fraction of the cost of other junior golf tours in the Tarheel State. Members of the NCJGF Board of Directors have determined that there will be no membership fees to join the Foundation. Keeping the cost to play competitive junior golf affordable is a mission of the Foundation. Many members of the Board of Directors are former junior golfers, professionals and business executives.
