The business process improvement market is enjoying renewed momentum thanks to the increased use of business intelligence analytical tools, says premier data analytics and process simulation modeling firm Lanner at its inaugural Awards for Simulation Excellence.
Commenting at the company’s WITNESS User Conference Americas 2011 customer event, Lanner CEO David Jones said,“The winners of the 2011 Lanner Awards for Simulation Excellence continue to raise the bar for the process improvement and optimization community with significant advancements in terms of innovation and dedication in implementing best practice in to their individual business units.”

The winners of the 2011 Lanner Awards for Simulation Excellence (Americas), in alphabetical order, are:
• 3M, Dan Nottestad and Erin Murphy – Inductees into the WITNESS Hall of Fame.
• Apache Corporation - WITNESS Project of the Year (Americas).
• Ingram School of Engineering Texas State University, Dr Jesus A Jimenez – WITNESS Academic Contribution Merit Award.
WITNESS User Conference Americas 2011, took place between August 22 and 23 at the 3M Tartan Park events venue. Presented in partnership with 3M, the customer conference welcomed delegates from across the Americas, and featured speakers representing Lanner, 3M, Exel, Texas State University, Simulation Analysis and The Timken Company.
