Southeast Managing Partner and Vice Chair Karole Lloyd has appointed Curt Fochtmann as Carolinas Market Leader for Ernst & Young. Fochtmann has more than 28 years of client service and practice leadership experience. As Market Leader, he will act as a strategic advisor to clients and EY partners across the Carolinas, while refining the firm’s focus and building its brand in the market. In addition to enhancing his role in the business community, Fochtmann will continue his commitment in the Charlotte community, maintaining significant involvement with the Arts & Science Council and United Way of Central Carolinas.
Succeeding Fochtmann as Charlotte Office Managing Partner is Mark Copeland. Copeland has more than 15 years of public accounting experience, including more than 11 years of transaction-specific experience, having built the largest transactions practice in the Carolinas during the last five years. Copeland will continue providing exceptional quality service to clients, as he leads the Charlotte office to continue its legacy of being a Best Place To Work. Recently recognized by The Charlotte Business Journal as one of the “Top 40 Under 40” for his career success and community engagement – Copeland will continue to share his time and talents through service on the Board of Visitors and College of Business Advisory Council at East Carolina University, Board of Directors for the ECU Foundation, and President of the Board of Directors for the Charlotte Chapter of JDRF.
