Dynamic keynote speakers, engaging interactive seminars and workshops, and networking with peers and industry partners all are on the agenda for PPG Industries’ (NYSE: PPG) upcoming MVP Business Solutions Conference, Sept. 18-20, 2011, at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel located in the heart of the “Big Easy.”
Intended for owners and managers of collision centers using PPG Automotive Refinish products, the biannual conference is part of PPG’s commitment to provide cutting-edge business thinking and solutions for its MVP Business Solutions customers. The conference’s theme,“Reveal the Power of Performance,” reflects that commitment and focuses on how collision centers can maximize their overall performance and profitability in the current challenging economic environment.
“At PPG, we are constantly looking for ways to bring value to our customers; it’s something we are very committed to,” said Jim Berkey, director of MVP Business Solutions for PPG’s automotive refinish business. “We are also excited about the opportunity to learn, exchange ideas, and grow stronger with our customers and preferred collision vendors. That’s what makes conferences like this one so important.”
The “Reveal the Power of Performance” theme will be carried through the conference’s keynote addresses, seminars and workshops, with each centering on a performance-related component and its impact on a shop’s business. Valuable information and ideas will be presented and shared, all intended to help a shop improve its bottom line through measured performance-accelerating processes.
Prominent speakers Greg Horn, Ross Shafer and Chris Andreoli will expand on the theme by offering substantive strategies that can accelerate performance. Horn, vice president of industry relations at Mitchell International and a regular contributor to Auto Body Repair News and Property Casualty 360, will discuss trends affecting the industry and individual shop performance, while noted author Shafer will point out why being relevant to your customers and team members is the only way to grow during a recovery. Andreoli, corporate claims director, repair shop and industry relations, for Progressive Insurance, will present the insurance perspective on improving shop operations.
Interactive workshops and seminars led by PPG staff and industry experts will focus on the diverse factors – such as employee relationships, Lead-and-Lag measures and social media marketing – that directly affect collision center performance. Attendees will have opportunities to “Reveal the Power of Performance” by examining their current business structures and determining what steps are needed to moderately adjust or radically revamp their approaches to establishing true performance-oriented business models, offering a dynamic pathway to business improvement.
