Wolters Kluwer Health announced today that DeKalb Medical Center at Hillandale in Georgia has implemented Simplifi 797 quality assurance software to achieve sterile compounding compliance.
Simplifi 797 is a web-based application that automates, integrates and streamlines quality activities and documentation related to U.S. Pharmacopeia’s Chapter 797 guidelines. The software manages task scheduling for environmental monitoring and automates the reporting of exceptions and compliance.
“Simplifi 797 is helping the staff pay more attention to the tasks needing to be completed,” said Carmichael August-Moultrie, Manager of Pharmaceutical Services at DeKalb Medical Center Hillandale. “We not only use the Simplifi 797 tool to follow through on our cleanroom policies and procedures, but to follow through on other hospital pharmacy requirements.”
Simplifi 797 (simplifi797.com) can help simplify meeting all of the requirements of the USP 797 best practice guidelines for compounding sites throughout the facility. It provides auto-notification by email of overdue tasks, exceptions, and out of range measurements.
“Simplifi 797 has helped with eliminating paper documentation process, and that is smiled upon, especially with our hospital trying to go green,” said August-Moultrie.
