The shopping bag works in conjunction with an online reporting platform that enables the owner of an iBrochure to log-in and view the value, volume and source of sales orders. The shopping bag facility allows the customer to browse the catalogue and select items as they turn the pages. They can view the contents of their bag at any time and when ready to purchase, switch to the ‘check-out’ on the client website. It removes the necessity of inefficient switching between brochure and website seen with many other solutions, resulting in an increase in average order value of at least 25%. The iBrochure solution has also been proven to significantly improve conversion to sale. It has additionally benefited clients by holding browsing sessions within the iBrochure and MIG’s servers thereby maintaining the efficiency of already overworked transactional websites - which is anticipated to be a problem once again this Christmas.
The solution is part of a number of ‘Intelligent Marketing tools’ developed by MIG to meet the needs of Multi-channel and on-line businesses and has been available as an additional function since it first appeared last year for JD Williams.
