One of Rochester's oldest and most unique neighborhoods will celebrate its 35th Annual Festival of arts, crafts and music. This festival annually attracts over 250,000 people! This year's festival will feature 300 artists, vendors, and exhibitors from 21 states and Canada!
Roland Paronish will be in attendance with his highly sought-after metal art sculptures that depict our daily lives in the fields of medicine, music, religion, sports, occupations and most important - the family. Each metal art piece captures your attention from the most serious to the humorous. Each figure is unique because each one tells its own story and no two are exactly same.
Some of Roland Metal Art’s larger sculptures include the following one-of-a-kind pieces:
• Dinosaurs – Triceratops – Raptor – T-Rex – Brontosaurus – Dilophosaurus – Pterodactyl (some of these unique sculptures are 7 feet tall and have wing spans of 9 feet!)
• Aliens – Alien Assailant – Wise Alien – Alien Lifeform
• Birds – Turkey Gobbler Displaying – Owl on Roost – Eagle (wing span of 5 feet)
• Aquatic Life – Lunker Bass on Drift Wood – Sea Horse (2 feet tall) – Coral Reef – Tuna (5 feet long)
About Roland Metal Art
Roland Metal Art (rolandsmetalart.com) began in 1996 by Roland Paronish. Starting with railroad spike metal art depicting people at work, at home and at play, the line of artwork has expanded to include near-life-size dinosaurs, aliens, wildlife (7-foot grizzly bear), and replicas of battleships.
Today, the RMA staff uses welders, torches, and anvils, to breathe life into their craft, especially the tiny people. The creations are welded from metal spikes, rods, rivets and other pieces of steel. “Our current line includes 175 different sculptures, but we receive requests for new pieces nearly every day,” Roland humbly states.
Roland Metal Art’s artwork can be found throughout the world. As the son of a coal miner, Roland is proud to have his sculpture of a coal miner in Russia’s Moscow Museum. He commented,“The statue is a salute to Russia’s hard-working laborers.”
In addition to the smaller artwork, Roland Metal Art also creates mobile and non-mobile replicas of trains, backhoes, bulldozers, tractors, airplanes and prehistoric steel animal figures.
Roland Metal Art’s sculptures seem to come to life in your very hands. These metal art creations are perfect for any family, professional, or just art lovers.
