The North Carolina Junior Golf Foundation has selected the Arnold Palmer designed Lonnie Poole Golf Course at North Carolina State University to host the 2011 annual Labor Day Junior Championship. The 2011 Wolfpack Labor Day Junior Championship at Lonnie Poole Golf Course will be played on September 3-4. Playing divisions include high school and middle school boys and girls. The event is nationally ranked by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard and will also be ranked by local state associations. The field is limited to the first 72 junior golfers and the entry fee is $105 for 36 holes of championship play. Entries open July 15 and must be completed online at the North Carolina Junior Golf Foundation we site before August 27.

It is home to the NC State University Men’s and Women’s Golf Programs, the country’s leading turf management programs and a top PGA Professional Golf Management program. The Lonnie Poole Golf course is the perfect venue to test highly skilled junior golfers in a nationally-ranked event.
The North Carolina Junior Golf Foundation is a non-profit corporation founded to serve junior golfers. The NCJGF holds nationally ranked junior golf tournaments for junior golfers at top golf courses in North Carolina regardless if they live in North Carolina. The North Carolina Junior Golf Foundation is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors that consists of men and women with diverse business and golf industry backgrounds. Many NCJGF Board Members have played competitive golf at the junior, collegiate and professional levels. All North Carolina Junior Golf Foundation members are volunteers who are dedicated to providing high quality, affordable competitive junior golf tournaments within Central North Carolina. Entry fees at North Carolina Junior Golf Foundation events are set to cover tournament costs. The NCJGF has no membership fees, and events are open to all junior golfer.
North Carolina Junior Golf Foundation operates the North Carolina Junior Tour, utilizes volunteers dedicated to junior golf, holds junior golf tournaments at top courses in the state and emphasizes affordability, quality and integrity.
North Carolina Junior Golf Foundation tournaments (ncjuniorgolf.org) are for all junior golfers 18 years old and younger that haven’t graduated high school and started attending college. Tournaments are primarily 36-hole events held during divisions for middle and high school boys and the school year with playing girls.
