Horizon Forest Products, a top distributor of products for hardwood flooring contractors and custom cabinetmakers in the southeast, recently served as Event Sponsor of Christian Life Home’s Links for Life Golf Benefit. The second annual event was held on June 27th at MacGregor Downs Country Club in Cary and attracted 46 golfers. Company Vice President David Williams, Sales Manager Steve Garner, Raleigh Branch Manager Carl Bahn, and Shayne Beasley participated in the event, playing on behalf of Horizon Forest Products.
Christian Life Home provides a loving, family atmosphere for women in unplanned pregnancies to receive care, counseling, and life skills training. Christian Life Home is a non-denominational, non-profit organization under the supervision of an active Board of Directors. Since 1988, the organization has been serving the needs of pregnant women with compassion and guidance and was started by concerned individuals in the community who wanted to provide a brighter future for pregnant women and their babies. Missy Schoning, Executive Director of Christian Life Home, said that the Links for Life Golf Tournament would not have been possible without the support of companies like Horizon Forest Products.

Williams learned of Christian Life Home through a connection at his church and says that the services provided by the organization are essential to ensuring that young mothers are provided the support and education they need in those crucial early months of pregnancy.

Residents at Christian Life Home receive prenatal care and nutritional meals, as well as weekly counseling and information on both parenting and adoption options. Residents are also taught household management skills, employment skills, and personal goal setting and are included in family activities such as cookouts, games, family outings and church.
