Founded 10 years ago this month, Audio Network announces plans to maintain growth over the next decade by re-organising its management team. The new management structure reflects the group’s plan to continue building its US and international operations whilst consolidating its strength in established markets.
Juliette Squair, moves from her International Director role to become the new Managing Director. Chris Blakeston, presently Director of UK Music Sales, becomes Deputy Managing Director and Simon Anderson takes over as Director of Publishing. Jason Langley, currently Senior Vice President North America has been appointed Executive Vice President, North & South America.
Co-founder Robert Hurst explains,“We are spending over a million pounds a year producing new music and at the same time investing significant sums in building an international customer focused business, so we need to make sure we have the right management team in place to enable the business to fulfil its potential. I am certain that with the exceptional talent we have available to us we have made the right choices”.
Hurst and fellow co-founder, Andrew Sunnucks will now focus on the overall group strategy with the aim of maintaining the high double digit growth that Audio Network has enjoyed every year since its inception. Sunnucks plans to spend up to 6 months of the coming year in the US searching for new composer and musician talent while Hurst focuses on developing strategic partnerships and acquisition opportunities for the group.
Audio Network has grown from a start-up idea in July 2001 to one of the major suppliers of production music. It now has its own offices in London, New York, Toronto, Amsterdam and Sydney and representation in most major territories around the world. The company releases around 24 hours of new music every month.
Juliette Squair - who joined the company in 2002- said,“It’s very exciting to be taking over as MD - I believe that the key to continued growth lies in uncompromising standards in customer service and music quality. We need to make certain we don’t let our foot of the pedal for a second. What’s more, I love the fact that Audio Network has provided such a great opportunity for so many of its staff and composers, and that the opportunities for us all are still huge as we continue to grow.”
With a catalogue of over 40,000 tracks, Audio Network offers a complete music solution by cutting through the traditionally complex and costly processes of licensing music. All high quality tracks are pre-cleared for multiple formats, for the world, forever.
This approach allows producers to make content for international distribution, emerging platforms and new media without the need to go through the complicated and expensive process of clearing individual tracks or re-versioning productions.
The company supplies music to some major international media clients, including BBC, HBO, MSN, MTV Networks, National Geographic and Ogilvy.
Audio Network owns the rights to their extensive catalogue which covers a full range of music styles from classical to hip hop and from country to rock ‘n’ roll. This high quality music is created by its team of established international composers and recorded by major orchestras and artistes including The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Dame Evelyn Glennie OBE and the late Sir John Dankworth CBE.
Releasing up to 8,000 new tracks per year for its main catalogue, the company also supplies more than 50,000 sound effects and a collection of famous classical works from its Borradaile Collection. Discover the breadth and quality of the music at audionetwork.com.
In addition to supplying original scoring, audio branding, sound design services and working as creative partners alongside over 200 renowned composers, Audio Network now has interests and operations in multiple territories, worldwide.
