The University of Kansas has started an extensive renovation project to Anschutz Pavilion, Kansas Athletics’ indoor practice facility and the competition venue for the Ray Evans Field and Bill Easton Track. The renovations began May 18th and will be completed by early September 2011.

The Bill Easton track was originally installed in 1984 when Anschutz Pavilion was constructed; the track was most recently resurfaced in 1999. The current track is a 231-meter oval which will be converted to a 200-meter six-lane track, with eight lanes on the sprint straightaway, the current standard for indoor facilities.
