MetraTech Corp., the leading provider of agreements-based billing and compensation solutions, today announced the launch of Metanga, its multi-tenant software-as-a-service (SaaS)-based billing solution, on Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) Windows Azure. The launch highlights Metanga’s relationship with Windows Azure and continues MetraTech’s longstanding engagement with Microsoft. The Metanga solution is a key component to help Microsoft’s customers monetize their Windows Azure offerings. Metanga catalyzes and facilitates the adoption of Windows Azure to broad new audiences while making Microsoft’s cloud platform increasingly relevant.
As a native Windows Azure building block solution, Metanga is immediately available and provides Microsoft’s 78,000 independent software vendor (ISV) customers with the shortest path to cloud-based enrollment, billing and customer care.
Metanga presented its solution to a worldwide audience at a Microsoft Academy Live presentation,“Monetizing ISV Applications on Windows Azure” webinar, on June 3, and will also lead a discussion on “Monetizing the Cloud” at Microsoft’s 2011 World Partner Conference in July.
The Metanga solution enables the management of customer enrollment, product catalogs, pricing, promotions, invoicing, customer self-care and payment capture for industry verticals including cloud, business-to-business (B2B), consumptive media, telepresence, broadband and smart grid. It facilitates consumption-based billing for online applications that require more than simplistic recurring credit card billing.
Metanga is unique among SaaS billing offerings in its ability to draw upon MetraTech’s many years of experience developing and operating billing systems for world leaders in service innovation.
