The Shops at Wailea announces the opening of The Art of Peter Max Gallery on Friday, June 24. The 1,225-square-foot gallery is one of only two in the world exclusively dedicated to the artwork of renowned artist, Peter Max, and is curated by the artist himself.
In celebration of the opening, Peter Max has created a new installation of original acrylic paintings being unveiled at the Wailea gallery. The collection includes the artist’s “Maui Series” which depicts scenic images of Maui wrapped in the kaleidoscope of vivid colors that are unmistakably Peter Max. This rare series is available exclusively at The Art of Peter Max in The Shops at Wailea.
Peter Max's remarkable legacy and artwork is the subject of a spectacular book, The Art of Peter Max (Abrams, October 2002), the first book to take an in-depth look at his influence on culture in America and around the world.
