Urbane Living introduce the new handcrafted aged and antique wood flooring range. The antique inspired wood floor collection captures an aged look offering an elegant overall effect.

The ageing techniques require an artistic skill to achieve a unique finish that is free from mass produced ‘factory machined’ look. The rich grain tones and textures of the antique floor evoke a sense of historic time. Such techniques are varied from French polishing to handscraping including use of heavy chains. “Age adds character and depth to the boards. The techniques used are painstaking and very time consuming. They are all done by hand with great attention to detail and what you end up with is a striking looking floor.” explains Adam Robertson, the co-founder of Urbane Living.

The antique floor collection is suited to period as well modern properties. Adam adds “There is something very appealing about distressed wood floors. It introduces excitement to a space.
