Wolters Kluwer Health announced today that Central Florida Health Alliance has implemented VeriForm for their medication area inspections.
VeriForm is a checklist management system that helps hospitals document and report on compliance and patient safety issues throughout a facility. It provides the ability to create multiple forms and document these inspections in one flexible, easy-to-use application.
"Prior to implementing VeriForm our unit inspections were hard to track, hard to verify, and generated lots of paper which we had to tabulate, quantify and store," said Don Morrison, Pharmacy Informatics Specialist at Central Florida Health Alliance. "Implementing VeriForm was quite quick, easy, and we were thoroughly instructed through every step of the process."
VeriForm also provides a robust reporting tool to complete the process. Managers can run real-time reports to easily see which forms have been completed and monitor trends in compliance by hospital area or criteria. VeriForm has fully-integrated E: capabilities so completed forms can be E:ed to nurse managers and others for approval, if needed.
"Now that we have been using VeriForm for some time, our unit inspection process has become easy to manage and provides us with information to identify potential issues before they become widespread problems," said Morrison.
