Life coach, health & wellness expert Dr. Maiysha Clairborne, has officially been announced as one out of very few finalists all competing to become one of the newest contributors for the popular website iVoices on iVillage. As an American board certified physician turned wellness and life balance coach, Dr. Clairborne’s wide variety of topics include eating your disease away, stress management techniques, life and work balance, yoga for the mind and simple and fun fitness programs. Her scope of knowledge is perfectly suited for the iVillage community.
“No matter what people do in their day-to-day lives, there is always going to be a certain amount of stress involved,” Dr. Clairborne said. “Whether a person is a business executive, a stay-at-home parent, a teacher, my goal is to help people achieve emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. My hope is to reach a wider audience via iVoices.”
Dr. Clairborne will be showcasing her verbal communication skills, which have been honed throughout nearly a decade of being a life coach, through a 3-minute interview video that will also serve as her iVillage audition piece. Within the interview, Dr. Clairborne speaks with colleague Dr. Shah about what coaching is, gives a couple of tips about healthy nutrition and fun exercise, and discusses mindfulness. The tape will be judged by an NBC Celebrity Panel that includes Natalie Morales of Today, Contessa Brewer of MSNBC and Amy Robach of Today who will review them and choose the next 10 iVoices. The video’s goal is to highlight Dr. Clairborne’s personality, coaching, as well as her storytelling ability, a skill that is harnessed through the publication of her book “Eat Your Disease Away,” a book that focuses on positive change through balance and nutrition in a diet.
