Centrify Corporation, the leading provider of security and compliance solutions that centrally control, secure and audit cross-platform systems and applications using Active Directory, today announced that it received the Government Technology Research Alliance (GTRA) Best ID Management Boardroom Award last week.
The GTRA Boardroom Award winners were determined by popular vote from attendees of the 2011 GTRA Council meeting held last week in Bedford Springs, Pa.
The GTRA consists of more than 100 federal leaders in a variety of technology areas of expertise. Meeting twice a year, the GTRA Council brings together executive-level government technology leaders to collaborate, strategize and create innovative solutions for government-wide challenges. Through these council meetings, GTRA provides annual required continuing education (CEUs) in the areas of cloud computing, virtualization, security, enterprise architecture, technology, project management, health IT, green IT and leadership while helping them identify affordable effective technology solutions.
“GTRA and our members are grateful to have the opportunity to work with industry leaders such as Centrify, and we are pleased that our members voted Centrify Suite 2011 as the Best ID Management Boardroom Award winner,” said Kelly Yocum, GTRA founder and executive director. “We would not be where we are today without the support from innovative companies such as Centrify, and we look forward to our continued work together. Companies such as Centrify, which are seeing growing traction in the government space, provide our members with valuable education and resources.”
Centrify has broad acceptance throughout federal, defense and civilian agencies for its reliable identity consolidation and privileged access management solutions. The Centrify Suite allows these organizations to centrally control, secure and audit access to cross-platform systems and applications by leveraging an infrastructure they already own — Microsoft Active Directory. Built on an integrated architecture, the Centrify Suite strengthens security, enhances regulatory compliance initiatives, and reduces IT expense and complexity. The Centrify Suite — consisting of DirectControl, DirectAuthorize, DirectAudit, DirectSecure and DirectManage — delivers secure authentication and single sign-on, role-based access control, privileged identity management, user-level auditing, server isolation and encryption of data-in-motion for the industry’s broadest set of heterogeneous systems and applications.
“We were very pleased by the response we received during and after our boardroom meetings, and were honored that attendees voted for Centrify for the Best ID Management Boardroom Award,” said Greg Cranley, Centrify Federal Systems Integrator Manager. “Centrify is unique in its ability to address the security, high-availability and compliance requirements — such as FISMA, HSPD 12, NIST SP 800-53, and FICAM— of our government customers. We had a number of requests following the meetings to evaluate our products further, and several groups who had initiatives for access management told us they see Centrify’s solution as the right way to solve the privilege management and auditing issues they are struggling with.”
