Capitalizing on its succesful 4 years of organizing its public semainrs in Greater Shanghai, the China Supply Chain Council announced today that it will launch its Public Supply Chain & Logistics Seminar concept to South China, on Oct. 26, in the Mandarin Hotel in Guangzhou, China.
This event will help the south China companies which are involved in the supply chain domain to discover best practices, experiences and strategies of other actors of the market. This event will give the chance for supply chain vice presidents, CEOs, directors of logistics, Supply Chain Managers, General Managers, manufacturing and logistics responsibles to network and exchange their ideas of the market situation and the different tendencies.
During this half day conferences, we will get the chance to hear different case studies and experiences of different speakers, from the logistics aspect to the manufacturing one. The China Supply Chain Council is proud to share with you the list of the speakers and the subject of their presentation. Roger Sanderson, group director SCM of Esquel Enterprises will present you "Coordinating & aligning a vertically integrated China Supply Chain - challenges, opportunities & solutions", which will be a great case study in the textile supply chain "from cotton seed to shelf". Trent Iliffe, regional director, head of industrial from Jones Lang LaSalle will gladly present the results of a survey run by Jones Lang LaSalle and the China Supply Council focused on "China Warehousing and Distribution" which will revealed the actual tendencies and the next 2 years project for the warehousing location and the upcoming demands of the customers. COSCO logistics will be represented by Chifei Jiang, Product Logistic Division, who will present a very interested topic based on a real case and solution's implementation. His topic is "A Global Supply Chain Problem of an Electronic Company at China". Through that topic, you will learn how COSCO logistic help a big Chinese electronic company to implement new solutions and improve their supply chain, but also which kind of problems big Chinese firms are facing and which solutions they are choosing to solve them.
More focused on the logistic aspect in China and on the Pearl River Delta Logistic, Markus A. Muecke will share with us the "Up & Coming: China¡¯s Growing Logistics Revolution", a good analyze of the logistic environment in Pearl River Delta. Than to achieve this half day seminar, Max Cheng, Managing director, Asia Sourcing Operations of Homelines Industries Corporation will speak about the boundary management among business parties of internal & external supply chain in a furniture wholesaler company, through his "Boundary Management in Supply Chain Operations" topic.
This seminar is both focused on South China and China Logistic issue with MNC and Chinese companies. This will be a great opportunity to share point of view and see how the different actors in the market are working and looking at the future.
