Carl Terzian, Chairman of the West Los Angeles based public relations firm Carl Terzian Associates, will be presented with the Corporate Partnership Award at Jewish Vocational Services’ (JVS) 14th annual Strictly Business L.A. Luncheon on May 19th at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, for his contribution to the art of networking. Larry Miller, president & CEO of Sit n’ Sleep, will receive the Corporate Leadership Award, in recognition of his generous philanthropy and long-time support of JVS.
“I’m honored to receive the JVS Corporate Partnership Award this year,” said Mr. Terzian. “As an American I’m blessed and feel grateful to have the opportunity to help others. It is a privilege, and, I strongly believe, it’s a duty to help the less fortunate. Community service should be a high priority of every man and woman.”
“JVS is an outstanding nonprofit and I’m delighted with the work they have done for the Los Angeles community, especially their services for the unemployed in these tough economic times,” Mr. Terzian added. “I look forward to helping them continue their growth and success.”
Mr. Terzian’s life achievements are numerous. He is renowned throughout Los Angeles as a committed supporter of philanthropy, dedicating much of his time and energy to the development of many charitable causes. Mr. Terzian is responsible for putting hundreds of people on nonprofit boards throughout the country, and has won various awards, among many other honors. For more than 42 years, Mr. Terzian’s contribution to the world of philanthropy has been coupled with his unique and successful business model. Not only has Mr. Terzian’s style of business networking cultivated significant donations to nonprofits, but it has also created deep friendships, almost 20 marriage proposals, and important business relationships that have inevitably led to some of Los Angeles’ most advantageous business deals.
Each May hundreds of business leaders, top executives, young professionals, government representatives, and policy makers come together at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, in Beverly Hills, for JVS’ Strictly Business L.A. Luncheon. The event begins with a Business Networking Reception, followed by the luncheon program recognizing individuals and companies that have set the standard for corporate philanthropy.
