Jaspersoft, maker of the world’s most widely used business intelligence (BI) software, today announced new open source connectors for EMC® Greenplum® HD, a product family for Apache Hadoop, expanding the company’s wide variety of Big Data source support for Business Intelligence reporting. Jaspersoft’s data agnostic connectors provide the widest range of native reporting for Big Data available, spanning Hadoop, NoSQL and MPP analytic databases.
Hadoop provides a set of tools for analyzing large data sets in an easier and more affordable way than traditional means. The Jaspersoft Hadoop Connectors allow EMC Greenplum HD customers to directly report against Hadoop Hive, HBase, the Avro file format, and other files in HDFS offering developers more choice and flexibility.
Through Jaspersoft’s Hadoop connectors, EMC customers can quickly design and publish highly interactive, web-based reports. With Jaspersoft BI, these reports can be deployed on-premises, in SaaS environments with multi-tenancy or in the cloud. Jaspersoft reports can also be easily embedded within other enterprise and ISV applications.
