Located in majestic Fairbanks, Alaskan Gold Rush Fine Jewelry celebrated over 30 years of handcrafting rare gold nuggets into one-of-a-kind jewelry creations this February with a full remodel. In an interview with JCK, a leading trade publication for the jewelry industry, co-owner Carl Cox explains the company’s design genre. “Our goal in creating jewelry is to keep the natural look of the nuggets while adding a flavor of class and style that is complementary to the rough nuggets.”
While incorporating a fresh aesthetic of style and class, maintaining that natural Alaskan rustic appeal within the shopping experience was equally a priority for reaching their remodeling design objectives. Renovations to the shop included remodeled display cases, flooring, walls, ceilings and light fixtures, as well as an addition of an innovative interactive client design experience.
Clients will now be able to enjoy viewing the design process in a uniquely created client design space. A specialized CAD program will display the client’s custom jewelry being made on a 60-inch flat-screen monitor, allowing them to feel more apart of the design process.
Most recently, nature-inspired photography was produced to showcase their specialized, handcrafted, one-of-a-kind gold nugget jewelry. This captivating new photography now extends their fresh new look to the website, Facebook, Twitter and beyond.
