Dixon Golf announces its sponsorship of the Take a Swing at Breast Cancer Golf Tournament to take place May 28, 2011 at the Western Skies Golf Club in Gilbert, AZ. The proceeds to go to help Jenny Willman in her battle against breast cancer.
“Jenny is a wife, mother of a one year old and a three year old, and a kindergarten teacher in Chandler. We are very fortunate to have some great local sponsors, like Watch Me Grow and Dixon Golf involved in this event, and are planning a fun day for everyone in attendance. The tournament is open to the public, so we hope we sell it out,” says Jim Codney, tournament director.
The tournament is four person best ball scramble with check-in at 6 am with a shotgun start at 7 am. Entry fees include green fee with cart, range balls, individual prizes, team prizes and a lunch immediately following play entry fees range from $65 to $100. Additional items for sale are raffle tickets, mulligans and putting strings.
“As part of giving back to the community, we’re happy to be a sponsor of this golf tournament. Cancer is bigger than golf and we are just happy we can be a small part of the battle against it,” says Dixon Golf CEO William Carey.
