Dr. Ria Hawkins, President of Take Charge Consultants, has been selected as a keynote speaker along with a large government agency for the American Society for Training and Development’s 2011 International Conference and Exposition. Held each spring, this premier event for workplace learning and development professionals welcomes 8,000 attendees from more than 70 countries. Dr. Hawkins will describe the steps taken to design and measure the results from a robust leadership readiness program used within a large federal agency. The primary focus is on the measurement of Kirkpatrick’s Levels 1 through 4 using a variety of strategies, including Brinkerhoff’s Success Case Method.
During the session Dr. Hawkins will provide an overview of the steps taken to understand the client’s needs; to identify targeted competencies and define what successful application of those competencies looks like at the department manager level; and to measure successful application of those competencies and business impact.
The learning objective of the session is to provide others with the effective steps to design and measure their leadership development strategies to ensure development dollars are being well spent.
