The Hudson County Genealogical & Historical Society, one of the only genealogy and family history groups focused entirely on the study of Hudson County, New Jersey, is pleased to announce the re-launch of its website for the first time since the founding of the Society in 2007 after a multi-month process.
“Since we first launched the website we’ve received many compliments about it, but after nearly four years it was no longer meeting our needs and the needs of our visitors,” commented Webmaster and Executive Board Member Joe Mann. “We looked at what things our visitors were most interested in and tried to make that content more accessible. The website has been redesigned structurally and visually to better support what we’re doing today and give us room to grow in the future.”
Ellen Healy, President of The Hudson County Genealogical & Historical Society said: “Although the Society is still relatively new, we’ve grown dramatically from a handful of people who saw a need for a genealogical and historical society dedicated to Hudson County to more than 200 members around the country and the world. We’ve become active not only in the community with events, seminars, and record indexing projects, but also on the Web. Our Webmaster felt it was time to overhaul the website to reflect the growth of the Society and to better serve the needs of our audiences.”
