AccelOps, Inc., the only provider of integrated monitoring solutions designed from the ground up for cloud-generation data centers and service providers, today announced that Elie Antoun has joined the company as president and chief executive officer. A proven leader of fast-growth technology companies, Antoun will shape AccelOps' strategy and business operations to scale and fully capitalize on the rapidly expanding IT monitoring market opportunity.

A Silicon Valley veteran, Antoun has been entrepreneur-in-residence at El Dorado Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Menlo Park, California, since 2008. Prior to El Dorado, he was CEO of Genesis Microchip, a publicly traded company with worldwide operations, which he led until its successful acquisition by STMicroelectronics (NYSE: STM). Before Genesis, he was president and chief executive officer of MediaQ, a venture-backed startup, where in three years he built a solid team, raised several rounds of venture financing, grew revenues robustly, and led the company's acquisition by NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA). Prior to Media Q, he was executive vice president at LSI Logic Corporation (NYSE: LSI), where he ran the company's $350 million consumer products division. Antoun holds a master of business administration from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and both a bachelor of science and master of science in electrical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. He also serves on the boards of several venture-backed startups.

Antoun takes the reins from AccelOps founder Imin Lee, who led the company from concept to market acceptance. Lee will move into a new role as chief AccelOps, focusing her efforts on bringing the AccelOps story to the market and keeping the company at the forefront of innovative thinking about the industry. She will continue to direct AccelOps' China operations and will remain a member of the AccelOps board.
