Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI)—producer of software applications and development kits for integrated analysis of space, defense and intelligence systems—will be on the show floor to share how to design, simulate and analyze an entire missile defense system within its immersive 3D software environment. AGI products, including the new STK/EOIR, bring critical insight during the system design and engineering phase as well as the test and evaluation (T&E) phase. The commercial products also support the Department of Defense’s efficiency initiative.

Using the software, engineers model and analyze subsystem interdependencies to evaluate which architecture parameters affect end-to-end system performance. During the T&E phase, test planners represent trajectories for the planned flight and intercept and model the missile defense network of sensors including SBIR/DSP; airborne assets such as ABL or ABIR; ship-based platforms such as the AEGIS; and ground-based optics and radar systems. During testing, engineers, operators and decision-makers visualize every detail of the event in real-time. Post-test, events can be reconstructed for further analysis to explore anomalies and measure the effectiveness of the tested system.

“Moreover, with AGI products, engineers spend less time building, maintaining and executing software, leaving more time to fully explore trade spaces and identify the most cost-effective solutions,” says Kevin Flood, vice president of product marketing.
