Capel's Creative Concepts program is a means of creating a truly personal area rug, providing customers with the tools to create an individual design statement with several levels of customization. Creative Concepts rugs are also very affordable — a 5' x 8' rug may retail for $399.
With more than 700 mix-and-match base and fabric options, dealers and designers can capture their customer's unique personality through a simple three-step process:
1. Choose a Base - Capel offers six indoor-outdoor base carpets, each of which are composed of high-performance olefin.
2. Choose a Border - Customers can choose from one of 120 woven indoor-outdoor border fabrics or provide their own material. Each rug is available in single, double and triple border construction.
3. Choose a Size and Shape - Creative Concepts rugs are available in a range of sizes, starting at 3' x 5', and shapes, including rectangular, square, octagonal and runners.

"Market Must-Cs" Spotlight Capel's Versatility
Capel will present a brand new take on product presentation at High Point, grouping new and core program rugs together in 12 must-see vignettes including "Capel Color," "Capel Cool" and "Capel Cottage." The product displays are designed to enhance the customer experience and bring a heightened sense of relevance to Capel's design and growing trends in the home furnishings industry.
"It's the next chapter in our New Style Point of View, and our spring showroom design presents a comprehensive and inspirational design statement to our buyers," said Watras. "Our new product arrangement allows our customers to better appreciate current design trends and the depth of the Capel line."
Capel Continues iPad and Kindle Giveaways in High Point
Capel will continue its electronic giveaways during the High Point Market with an Apple iPad drawing on Tuesday, April 5, and a Amazon Kindle drawing on Thursday, April 7. Anyone who visits the showroom between April 2 and April 7 is eligible to enter the drawings. The iPad (first generation) is Wi-Fi accessible and has 16GB of memory. The Kindle e-reader is also Wi-Fi accessible and allows users to instantly purchase and store thousands of books. No order is necessary to win.
"The iPad and Kindle giveaways are fun ways to say thank you to our customers," said Robertson. "Plus, the iPad offers our customers a neat way to browse products, view price lists and place orders online when out in the field."
New Product Introductions
To expand upon its highly successful New Style Point of View, Capel is set to introduce a variety of new collections at High Point. The expressive range of designs — many with clean lines and a cool, menswear aesthetic — and price points offer dealers the opportunity to create their perfect rug program.
Barrister
Classically refined and handsomely hand- knotted Barrister lends a nod to the fashion forward menswear look that is so popular today. These hand-knotted rugs are constructed using the finest pure wool yarns. Barrister is available in the colorways ink, oyster and cognac and is made in India. A 6' x 9' rug may retail for $2699.
Chevron
Understated yet bold, Capel's new woven Chevron collection combines cotton and jute for a clean, updated aesthetic. Skilled artisans in India create this sophisticated pattern using natural cotton and jute fibers. Chevron is flat-woven and available in the colorways indigo, linen and canyon. A 5' x 8' rug may retail for $199.
Cardigan
Subtle color variation and cozy texture give Cardigan universal appeal. Handcrafted in India, these flat woven rugs are composed of Felted New Zealand Wool. Cardigan is available in four fashion-inspired colorways: charcoal, flannel, chiffon and sorbet. A 5' x 8' rug may retail for $399.
Sovereign
This collection brings back traditional designs in three elegant patterns: fereghan, tabriz and ushak. Composed of pure luxurious wool, each of these rugs is expertly hand knotted by skilled craftspeople in India. Sovereign is available in the colorways ink persimmon, claret indigo and navy beige. A 5' x 8' rug may retail for $1399.
