Shantilicious is Las Vegas' new Pop Princess. Relocated from Los Angeles, she is known for her catchy songs and sexy live shows. Shantilicious has won Awards with Billboard, ISC, etc. But now Shantilicious has decided to let us into her past. Shantilicious has started a blog, a tell-all where she will dive into her dark past both personally and professionally.
"It's time people know the truth," says Shantilicious about why she wanted to open her life up to everybody in this way. "People have a lot of questions as to why this or why that and they make up these stories about me, so I thought, why don't I just tell them myself." says Shantilicious.
"I will never lie to you, my Shantilicious fans" is her opening to her first blog post where she confesses to being raised in a cult where her father abused her and she was forced to cling on to music as her only escape.
Is this a new trend in celebrities? Total honesty? We have seen actors on talk shows air out their sordid past. But in blogs? Well, maybe and maybe not, but Shantilicious is certainly one of the pioneers for it. And she is not holding back. Her first posting is more than candid as she talks about the abuse of her father and how her family would move because people would find out about the cult they were running.
Shantilicious (shantilicious.com) has been gearing up for this kind of with recent releases of her acoustic versions of her club songs. Take "Down" for example where she shares that the industry had an interpretation of her song being sexual and she actually wrote it in reference to abuse. However, it was written by her PR people and not directly from her. This time she is coming at us straight and telling us the ins and outs.
We can't wait to see what else she shares with us.
