DavosLife was recently presented the 2010 Asia Pacific Frost & Sullivan Excellence in Research Award in the Natural Vitamin E Market in recognition of its research, which has demonstrated tocotrienols' positive effect in a range of diseases.
Tocotrienols, a different type of natural vitamin E apart from tocopherols, have been proven time and again to be more bio-available and effective in treating disorders and diseases, as compared to the more popular tocopherols.
DavosLife has successfully carried out major research activities pertaining to tocotrienols, through in vitro studies and cancer studies. It has developed unique formulations of tocotrienols containing high concentrations of natural vitamin E.
"Equipped with robust research expertise, fruitful research collaborations, unique product formulations which cover a broad range of applications and strong intellectual property rights ownership, DavosLife has truly emerged as a distinguished leader in tocotrienol research and development, " said Sandeepan Mondal, Senior Research Analyst for Frost & Sullivan's Asia Pacific Chemicals, Materials & Foods Practice.
"DavosLife has been conducting research into the use of tocotrienols to prevent or treat life-threatening diseases such as cancers, heart diseases, diabetes and inflammatory-related disorders. We are honoured to receive this prestigious award, which recognises our original research work that has advanced the knowledge of the potential health benefits of tocotrienols, " said Mr Arthur Ling, CEO of DavosLife.
The consumption of Natural Vitamin E into dietary supplements and foods and beverages are also on the rise globally and the Asia Pacific region is no exception. The market for Natural Vitamin E in Asia Pacific is extremely competitive; maintaining and gaining market share is extremely important.
"DavosLife, through its rigorous research and development activities, has developed and manufactured unique formulations of highly concentrated natural tocotrienols which are not only used in dietary supplements and cosmetics applications but also for research purposes and equipment calibrations, helping DavosLife to successfully cater to multiple target segments, " Sandeepan added.
The Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards recognize companies in a variety of regional markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development. Industry analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research in order to identify the best practices in the industry.
