At the request of Councilman Tom LaBonge, Grant Cardone, NY Times Best-Selling Author and Sales Training expert to Fortune 500 companies is donating his book, "Sell To Survive" to all of the 71 libraries in Los Angeles County.
A day earlier, Mr. Cardone met Councilman LaBonge and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa at the opening of new location for Beverly Hills BMW when the Councilman told Mr. Cardone of the help that the libraries needed in LA and he thought Sell to Survive, The Definitive book on Sales for the 21st Century would be a great addition to the cities libraries.
Councilman LaBonge stressed the fact that, “We’ve got to sell the love of Los Angeles. We’ve got to sell good health. We’ve got to sell reading. And Grant, I asked him ‘If you’re an author and you care about people, how about giving 71 libraries a book?' He made this presentation.”
“Sell to Survive” was written the weekend after Lehman Bros' collapsed, initiating the worse recession since the Great Depression. Cardone states, "I wrote this book because I knew the US would go through a period of contraction and unemployment and that businesses can only survive when they are able to successfully sell their products and services. This book has aided not just business through this contraction but also enable individuals to learn how to successfully sell themselves in order to find employment in an almost impossible hiring environment.”
Two copies of Sell to Survive are being shipped to all 71 books stores in LA County with the assistance of the Los Angeles Public Library Staff. Mr. Cardone has written three other books, one of which is a NY Times Best Seller and his fourth is being released this March entitled, “The 10X Rule, The Difference Between Success and Failure.”
