Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 19 countries across Asia and Africa today announced it’s strategic relationship with Savvis to further augment and strengthen its managed services portfolio. The collaboration aims to offer innovative managed services to enterprises operating in or expanding into India. Now the airtel enterprise customers will have more flexibility to pick and choose, the best-in-class solutions from the available array of managed IT services portfolio.
Savvis will use airtel’s world class data centers, unsurpassed bandwidth capacity and network support to expand its services platform in India.
Recognized as a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant, Savvis is a pioneer in cloud infrastructure and hosted IT solutions. Under this exclusive agreement, airtel will offer world class managed services including intelligent hosting, disaster recovery, managed application, migration planning, consulting, suite of network & security services and transformational services. The services will be rolled out through Bengaluru data centre in early 2011 with future expansion into other airtel data centres located in New Delhi, Pune, Mumbai and Chennai.
