Colorado Wich, LLC, d/b/a Which Wich Superior Sandwiches, an award-winning, national sandwich concept, recently announced a key company milestone. In the past three years, the company has grown to seven locations in the Denver metro area, including three new stores in 2010. The growth trend is expected to continue with additional locations slated for 2011.
“After opening our first restaurant in Lone Tree, Colorado, in 2007, we knew we had a hit, ” said Jeff Gordan, chief financial officer of Colorado Wich. “We continue to grow and anticipate another successful year. It’s clear what brings customers back time and again are our superior sandwiches.”
Which Wich Superior Sandwiches offer more than 50 varieties of customizable “wiches, ” ranging from the signature Wicked®, loaded with five meats (turkey, ham, roast beef, pepperoni, and bacon) and three cheeses, to unique items such as Thank You Turkey®, with stuffing and cranberry sauce. The Which Wich menu also includes vegetarian options and several healthy “wiches” each with 400 calories or less. In total, customers can select from more that 1.5 million sandwich combinations.
“While others are skimping on ingredients and options, we’re offering consumers choice and quality, ” said Jay Goldstein, chief operating officer of Colorado Wich. “Even our extras are held to high standards, like our signature house chips, real ice cream shakes, and just-out-of-the-oven cookies.”
Which Wich is known for its creative ordering system. Guests use red Sharpies® to mark up pre-printed menus on sandwich bags. They select a sandwich from one of 10 categories, then choose the size, type of bread, cheese, spreads and vegetables. The sandwiches are prepared to guests' exact specifications and delivered in personalized sandwich bags.
Which Wich locations feature newspaper reading stations and a community wall showcasing the sandwich bag artwork. In addition, Colorado customers can take pride in the 14ers Club where guests take a photo of themselves at the top of a Colorado 14er with the famous Which Wich brown bag next to the signpost. Bringing the photo back to the restaurant grants the climber a free sandwich and an opportunity to share their picture on the restaurant photo board.
