“it” Girl Public Relations, one of Los Angeles’ leading boutique public relations firms, is excited to announce their partnership with singer/songwriter/producer Benny Cassette.
His single, “God Forgive Me,” from his forthcoming album, The Invisible Man, is currently impacting west coast rhythmic and pop radio and is already garnering buzz at clubs.
Cassette is not a text book pop artist – he personifies edge. When creating music, he pulls from alternative influences that range from hip-hop to country. His vast knowledge and familiarity with different genres of music is the driving force behind his debut album, The Invisible Man.
“I came up in the LA hip-hop scene listening to NWA and the Beastie Boys. On top of that, I grew up in a Latino neighborhood where I heard Salsa, Ranchero and Oldies and at home my dad listened to jazz,” Cassette said. “Now I’m telling my story through my music and challenging the status quo of what music is and where it’s at right now.”
On The Invisible Man, Cassette pairs the unexpected collaboration of country legend Willie Nelson and fellow rapper Mos Def. In fact, Cassette’s eclectic musical taste and inventive style has led to collaborations with Eve, Will.I.Am, Robin Thicke, among others.
“it” Girl PR, One Recordings and Benny Cassette are thrilled to announce partnership in bringing vibrant new music into 2011.
