World Television, the leading video communications company for corporations and governments, is thrilled to announce the extension of its contract with the European Space Agency (ESA). The contract was originally awarded to World Television in 2005 for three years and has subsequently been extended each year since. The most recent extension of the contract expired on 31 December 2010 and has been renewed for another 12 months, effective immediately.
World Television works in partnership with ESA to communicate – through international broadcast and online media relations – the importance of the Agency’s global role in the exploration of outer space. From distributing B-Roll footage and Video News Releases, to coordinating press trips for key events, to promoting missions to international broadcasters World Television delivers tailored solutions to support ESA’s communications strategy. World Television also built and now hosts and maintains ESA’s digital media centre, available via its website.
Eduardo Castaneda, Head of Media and Public Relations at World Television, says “ESA is one of our most valued clients and our involvement in promoting Europe’s space programme has been very rewarding. We are delighted that our contract has been extended for yet another year.”
The European Space Agency (esa.int) is an organisation made up of 18 Member States. Its mission is to shape the development of Europe’s space capability and ensure that investment in space continues to deliver benefits to the citizens of Europe.
