Kovid iMaV is a revolutionary 3D simulation engine that allows the NDT inspection team to prepare an optimized scan plan even before the actual inspection begins. The engine simulates behaviour of the scan beam on complex geometries. The probe movement can be simulated in 3 dimensions. This allows the inspector to ensure every last part of the Object Under Inspection (OUI) has been successfully scanned. The tool is already being used by Areva in Germany for their inspectors to optimize their testing and validation processes.
