Kent has long known that getting people in front of investors was the easy part. However, he says few capital seekers realized the introduction to the investor is least among many factors that get companies funded. Therefore, these companies miss the desperately needed consulting and fine-tuning that often is the key to getting investors to take a hard look at a business. Kent said, often the cost of valuations, accounting, legal and other requirements left capital seekers feeling orphaned.
