This year Women's eNews marks the 10th anniversary of its 21 Leaders for the 21st Century awards adding 20 women and one man to the list of 210 people who continue to work to improve the lives of women and girls around the world.
The 10th anniversary gala will celebrate the work of previous honorees and induct the new leaders in philanthropy and activism into a growing collaborative of changemakers that cover more than half the states in America and 19 countries worldwide.
2011 honoree Lauren Embrey heralded this year as the year of the woman:
