The Virtual Edge Institute announced the debut of The Edge Streaming Studio at the organization’s premier conference for virtual and hybrid events, Virtual Edge Summit 2011 (January 12-13, 2011, MGM Grand Las Vegas and virtually). In the vein of pro football pre-game shows, The Edge will provide commentary on the day’s emerging virtual and hybrid events news, answer questions from the virtual audience, and conduct in-depth interviews with event practitioners, industry vendors, and attendees.
According to Michael Doyle, Executive Editor of the Virtual Edge Institute and producer of the Summit, “There are ebbs and flows at a physical conference with session breaks, meals and networking events. While The Edge was conceived as a way to engage – and even entertain – our virtual attendees with up-to-minute updates from the show floor during these lulls, we also envision this to be a central component of the hybrid experience for all our attendees.”
