Boundary Systems, a long-time VAR (Value-Added Reseller) of PTC®, is pleased to offer PTC’s Creo Software. PTC recently unveiled Creo, a new family of design software, built to solve chronic problems that have long plagued companies that use CAD software.
Creo will deliver four breakthrough technologies that address the lingering challenges of usability, interoperability, technology lock-in and assembly management. They include:
• AnyRole Apps™ - offers customers the right tool, for the right user at the right time
• AnyMode Modeling™ - enables users to design and use data in any modeling mode - 2D, 3D direct, or 3D parametric - without losing intelligence or design intent
• AnyData Adoption™- allows users to incorporate data from any CAD system
• AnyBOM Assembly™ - gives teams the power and connection to PLM needed to create and validate serial number-specific product configurations
By addressing the big unsolved problems in design software, Creo enables companies to unlock potential within their organizations by unleashing creativity, facilitating teamwork, increasing efficiency and ultimately realizing value.
PTC has also announced the rebranding of its existing, market-leading products, Pro/ENGINEER®, CoCreate® and ProductView®. In order to unify the exciting future of design software with the existing elements from which Creo was derived, the existing brands will have new names as listed below:
• Pro/ENGINEER will be renamed Creo Elements/Pro
• CoCreate will be renamed Creo Elements/Direct
• ProductView will be renamed Creo Elements/View
Creo Elements products are available now. Creo 1.0 is expected to be available mid-year 2011*.
