Downers Grove, IL, United States, 2010/12/14 - Flexco has appointed Chris Bayliss to the position of Managing Director – Australia, New Zealand, and South Pacific Islands.

Bayliss will oversee all operational aspects of the business, focusing on building a team that understands the company’s core values, as well as strengthening relationships with key customers and distributors to better understand their needs.
“Chris has the exact skill set we were looking for in a managing director,” said Flexco Global Director of Projects Martin O’Neill. “His knowledge and experience combine with remarkable business acumen to make him the clear choice for this position. We are excited to welcome him to the team.”
The appointment of Bayliss was part of the extensive restructuring efforts undertaken by Flexco to better service customers in the region. Flexco has bolstered field sales support with the additions of Michael Noncic and Mark Thomas as territory sales managers in Hunter Valley and Brisbane, respectively, and continues to add sales support throughout the region. In addition, Laurie Shorten has been hired as light-duty product manager to focus on Flexco’s light-duty business, and Eddie Alvarez has been appointed projects manager to specifically focus on project work. Adjustments have also been made to customer service and engineering in an effort to exceed customer expectations.
As the Australian team continues to grow, Bayliss is looking forward to pulling the team together towards a common goal.
“I intend to focus on our sales and market penetration to put us into a secure position for the future, while working closely with our manufacturing team to strengthen our capacity and efficiency,” Bayliss said. “This will give us the ability to do more and varied activities to support our customers throughout the region.”
