PPSS launch newly developed front only body armour, in an attempt to reduce workplace violence related injuries within mental health care sectors, such as severe learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and special needs.
The single front plate is made out of a body moulded ultra light 3mm polycarbonate plate and held against the upper body via 6 point adjustable elastic straps.
Robert Kaiser, CEO of PPSS said: “A number of mental health care facilities have recently asked us if we can create something that protects very specific areas, such as the female breasts, which have often been subject to very violent grabs or nips”.
“This type of body protection is also ideal for those facing frequent biting and punching related incidents, often occurring in the above sectors”.
