Moscow, Russia, 2010/11/10 - AVEVA Group plc announced the signing of a contract to supply AVEVA Plant engineering and design software solutions to OJSC DneprVNIPIenergoprom, one of the largest engineering design institutes in Ukraine (LSE: AVV).

AVEVA Group plc one of the world's leading providers of engineering design and information management solutions for the plant, power and marine industries, today announced the signing of a contract to supply AVEVA Plant engineering and design software solutions to OJSC DneprVNIPIenergoprom, one of the largest engineering design institutes in Ukraine.
The Institute decided, more than a year ago, to modernise its working processes by adopting a more effective project management system. Specialists at the Institute were thorough in their selection of design software, carrying out detailed evaluations of various solutions. Their final choice was AVEVA.
The transition to a PDMS-based design system is not just a major financial investment by the Institute, it demands a fundamentally new approach to engineering and design methods. Changing long-established work processes requires commitment and motivation from its participants, not least because 3D design involves new ways of thinking. AVEVA Plant solutions will provide the Institute with more effective tools for creating, modifying, visualising, navigating and validating a 3D model, as well as increasing productivity in important disciplines such as cable design and installation, P&ID development and in the creation of high-quality drawings and production documentation.
