Following feedback from customers, Cellix redesigned its website and now presents microfluidic pumping solutions and biochips with links to Cellix’s YouTube channel highlighting a vast array of applications and experiments conducted by Cellix’s customers and in-house R&D staff.
So what will users get from the new website?
Products: Easy to understand product illustrations and movies on experiments (also linked to Cellix’s YouTube channel) such as the newly released Vena8 Fluoro+ and Vena8 Endothelial+ biochips. The website also features an animation on some of the key aspects of the technology highlighting some simple protocol steps during assays. Newly improved technical notes, application notes and protocols also available for download.
Learning Centre: This section of the website has been completely revamped and updated linking all experimental “Movies” to Cellix’s YouTube channel. Cellix’s YouTube channel (cellixltd) is aimed at increasing interaction between Cellix and our customers which we hope will stimulate further ideas for new product development. Researchers can leave comments or ask questions about specific movies and also Subscribe to our channel so that they will be notified when a new movie is uploaded. Movies currently on our channel include investigation of thrombosis (platelet adhesion, aggregation, thrombi formation) and platelet-leukocyte interaction; atherosclerosis (monocyte adhesion to HUVECs under flow); inflammation, melanoma, breast cancer, asthma and bacterial adhesion and biofilm formation.
Partners: A new addition and key section to the website; Cellix was continuously approached by academic researchers struggling to obtain funding or companies with continued budget cuts. As a result, Cellix has spent a considerable amount of time integrating it’s microfluidic product solutions with existing lab equipment such as digital cameras from DeltaPix, Hamamatsu and QImaging; cell analysis software from MediaCybernetics; motorized stages and controllers from Ludl, Marzhauser and Objective Imaging; microscopes from Zeiss, Nikon, Olympus and microscope heating solutions from Oko-lab. This has ultimately lowered the overall investment a lab must make in order to get into the field of microfluidic cell analysis and simultaneously increased Cellix’s reach to potential customers in this field.
Many of products designed by Cellix are updated as a result of listening to our customers. In most cases we can customize kits for a particular application.
