Bioo Scientific is pleased to announce the launch of the MaxSignal® Zeranol ELISA kit. This kit offers a rapid and affordable method to screen cereals, dried meat, fish, feed, milk, urine and seed for contamination with zeranol. Zeranol is a synthetic non-steroidal growth hormone that is derived from naturally occurring zearalenone, a mycotoxin found in corn, barley, wheat hay, and oats infected with the Fusarium fungus. Zeranol is approved for use as a growth promoter in livestock, including beef cattle, in the United States; however, its use is banned in the European Union and Canada.
The MaxSignal Zeranol ELISA kit offers highly reproducible and sensitive detection of zeranol, with a detection limit of 0.1 ppb. The rapid sample preparation protocol can be completed in as little as 10 minutes with a recovery rate of >80%. The kit includes all required reagents, including standards, plus a pre-coated, 96-well breakaway strip plate.
