Enciris Technologies' LT-102-PCIE is the newest addition to its family of high performance real time true HD acquisition and compression boards. The LT-102-PCIE alleviates your PC’s CPU by transferring the massive computational requirements of HD compression to a specialised dedicated onboard processor. The LT-102-PCIE now allows high quality HD video acquisition and compression to be performed on even low power PCs and embedded CPUs allowing customers to meet their green initiatives.

The LT-102-PCIE can capture video from both analog and digital HD and SD video sources including DVI, RGB, component, S-video and composite. An HD/SD-SDI option is also available. Additionally, the LT-102-PCIE can function as a HD compression coprocessor for video supplied by the host via PCI Express bus.

At 1080p the LT-102-PCIE can compress 30 frames per second without using any host CPU resources. All standard HDTV resolution are supported including the acquisition of 1080p60. The LT-102-PCIE can simultaneously acquire uncompressed video for preview purposes or occasional snapshots. Also designed for low latency applications, the LT-102-PCIE outputs compressed video within only a few milliseconds of acquisition.

Currently, the LT-102-PCIE will compress to HD Windows Media Video (WMV/ VC-1) up to advanced profile level 3 with resolutions from 176x144 to 2048x2048 pixels. As the LT-102-PCIE has a reconfigurable processing core the LT-102-PCIE can be configured for other compression formats as we make them available. An H.264 core will be released in the near future.

Drivers for Windows XP/Vista/7 and Linux are included. Both 32 and 64-bit operating systems are supported. Under Windows, DirectShow is fully supported. A cross platform SDK is also available for Windows and Linux application development. Mac OS X support is also available.

The LT-102-PCIE is ideally suited for OEMs and system integrators and measures 100mm x 120mm.
